I absolutely without a doubt think that your mindset plays a huge role in the quality of your life, your happiness and your success. I did not always think this way. In fact, it was only about three or four years ago that I began reading up on the power of a positive mind and how your mindset can affect everything in your life.
And that my friends is when everything changed for me!
I had to let people go out of my life that were negative and brought me down. I surrounded myself with a new group of people who were on the same path as I was. If you do not have that, you need to go out and find it. If you have to, pray for the right people to come into your life.
Where do you go to find a positive word or inspiration every week? I have found that this is not a one-time fix but rather a change in lifestyle. You have to constantly remind yourself and tell yourself and hear positive talk.
I read somewhere recently that you cannot have two emotions at the same time. Meaning you cannot be angry and happy at the exact same moment. I put this to the test and it actually works! Try it. The next time you are having a bad day, feeling negative or grumpy CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS! Go immediately to a place of gratitude, think about your family or something that excites you and makes you happy.

I can remember sitting out at many baseball games and listening to books on tape. Think and Grow Rich and The Law of Attraction are two that come to mind. When I am on a long road trip, I always download a couple of books on tape or seminars to listen too. Not only does the driving time fly by but I am also improving the quality of my life!
I can remember back in 2011, when my husband lost his job of 20+ years just like that. His job was our security, our normal and our steady stream of income to pay the bills. We had no warning, no signs, no planning, no nothing! When this happened, we could have completely freaked out, went into a deep depression and accepted our circumstances.
No way, not us!
I took this as a HUGE sign, a positive, a new beginning and I was so happy for him! I think my attitude freaked him out a bit. You see, I had been doing what I love for years and he hated his job. Working as a supervisor in a factory was not exactly a dream of his but he had a family to support (and bless him), he did what he had to do EVERY SINGLE DAY!
I stayed in a positive mindset and kept us moving FORWARD as a family. I was finally able to offer him something, the support he needed to create a great life for him and for us. It was not always easy, but somehow I knew it would be ok.
The next time you are feeling down and your mindset is not in a positive place, take these steps and see if it helps to get you back on track:
· Ask yourself, what is the worst that can happen?
· Seek guidance and keep your eyes open for the signs.
· Give yourself the gift of learning and growing.
· Find your positive support group where ever and however you have to do it.
· Do not quit and do not give up. You can have the LIFE OF YOUR DREAMS!
