I had the amazing privilege of attending Tobi Fairley’s NEWEST camp, The Journey to Getting Published. It was three days jam packed full of content and events. Tobi herself not only shared her journey, tips and best practices but we also had the once in a career chance to hear valuable confidential information from Krissa Rossbund, Ronda Rice Carman, Nancy Noland and Sandy Gilbert-Freidus.

Interior Design: One Step Closer to Getting Published

WOW! What a week this has been. I didn’t know when I set my goals for this year how I would get there or what path I would take, I have a long way to go and so much work ahead but this week has definitely been a step in the right direction AND I have so many people to THANK!! I could not do anything of this alone.

A Big Thank You and Giveaway Winner!

The dust has finally settled and a winner was announced for the Olioboard 9th High Point Market Style Spotter Challenge. Although I did not win, I am so thrilled to say that I came in second place with an amazing 2742 votes. Day #10 – Knowledge is Power: The most important thing my Design Camp experience has reiterated for me is that learning and knowledge are power. We should all keep an open mind, keep learning, and growing in whatever field or stage of life we’re in. So in wrapping up this Blog series, what better way to do that by mentioning some of the great reading resources we all talked about at Design Camp. As you may or may not know, I truly enjoy learning new things, traveling a bit and experiencing new adventures. So it was perfect for me to come back to Atlanta with a whole list of books to add to my never ending reading list. Who knows, maybe you’ll enjoy a couple of these yourself.

Yep, I’m still going strong with my takeaways! Honestly, I think I could go on and on and on (but don’t worry, I won’t….we’re almost done here). This is one of my favorite topics to discuss because I do realize the importance of window treatments and I also realize this is one area that you DO NOT want to cut corners or skimp on budget – window treatments of course.
