“Avoid Interior Design Nightmares”

Take control of your next home decorating project. Save yourself money, time and stress.

Concept Development Programming

This stage is where we lay the foundation for your dreams.

Our initial consultation has identified what you want. We have a contract and deposit in place.

Now it’s time to put a framework together that will allow us make things happen with minimal surprises along the journey.

First we do a site walk-through. This is where we measure and photograph everything so we have something we can use to generate actual plans on paper.

The importance of creating a sound written plan cannot be overstated.

Bringing your project to life and seeing it through will require the collaboration of many people. Think about all the questions, answers, details and other communications that will take place during the process.

Tradespeople going back and forth with contractors. Designers having meetings with both groups. You talking to just about everyone at one point or another.

All it takes are a few wrong assumptions or misunderstandings along the way and your project can careen off the rails costing you time and money.
The plan acts as a roadmap to keep everyone on track focused on interior design ideas that will match the living space you want to create.

Your plans can be as detailed as necessary. They can include millwork concepts, furniture layouts, tile settings, lighting designs and even an end result concept rendering so you can see your final destination.

Typical Plan Elements

  • Site walk-through – gather additional information, notes, measurements, and photos
  • Existing furnishings inventoried with specific details noted
  • Research relevant codes and universal design requirements if needed
  • Contact other specialists if necessary that will be involved
  • Detailed review of budget and schedule

Your interior design drawings also serve as checkpoints along the way so you know what to expect throughout the evolution of your project.

With written plan in hand, we’re ready to bring in our trusted contractors, trades and all the other people we need to bring your dream to life.
