My Clients Unusual Decorating Request

I have a wonderful client who I have been working with for about three years now. I have helped her to completely design and decorate her gorgeous home in the Atlanta area.

We are now moving on to their last Guest Bedroom AND she proposed a little challenge for me. I have to admit, this did catch me off guard and I was a bit surprised……want to know what she proposed?!?!

She wants to completely decorate this Guest Room using furnishings and accessories scored at Home Goods!

Here is the deal, it’s not about the money for her. If you are a decorator or an Interior Designer than you know the amount of time that it takes to source and search for the perfect items. Home Goods is hit or miss so this could take some serious shopping hours….I’ll have to keep you posted.

And we all know that TIME = MONEY!

For her, it’s about the hunt….it’s about the score, the DEAL! And she loves Home Goods. Yes, she lives in a multi-million dollar home. That doesn’t mean she can’t shop at home goods, right?!

HomeGoods chair

We already found this chair. I’m not sure if it will work, if we’ll use it or maybe we’ll change it up some how. If you see something that MIGHT work while shopping at Home Goods, you grab it and then decide later!

Remember the Million Dollar Decorator episode where JAM (Jeffrey Alan Marks) relied on catalog shopping to decorate a Nantucket Residence? It was pretty fantastic and the client was thrilled. This is kind of the same concept here!

This will most definitely be the High/ Low project of my year! The wall treatments will be spectacular and we are not going to skimp on the window treatments. If you missed it, here is one of my most popular blog posts titled, “Why You Should Not Skimp on Window Treatments”.

If you curious where this entire challenge stemmed from, then you’ll love this. My client saw an episode where Giuliana Rancic decorated her Nursery and Office using Home Goods finds…..who knew. I’ll have to see if I can find the episode because I’m totally curious!

Can you spot the Home Goods pieces in the room?!

So there you have…one of my latest decorating challenges….I think it will be fun and I’m always up for something new. Stay tuned!

Good luck Jennifer! It really is hit or miss there. You will have to make friends with the store manager and find out which days new items are put out. I look forward to seeing your adventure!

    Hi Jennifer,

Crystal lamps and side tables are from Home Goods, coffee table is from cb2, rug is from West Elm. Not sure about the rest.

So not sure that they were so honest about their claim that it is all from Home Goods. So, Good Luck!
