A Year in Review: My 5 R’s for a Successful New Year!

Well it’s that time of year again, a time for Reflection, Rejuvenation, Recharging, Re-focusing and Recommitting to new and previously set goals. I guess you could call it my 5 R’s for a successful new year! Beyond a New Year’s resolution, I like to take it a step further and set several goals for myself for the new year but before I do that, it’s important for me to take a step back and review 2011.

I can’t think of a better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to decorate a Gingerbread House with your family! It has been quite a while since I’ve decorated one of these!! Christmas Decor: Traditionalist vs. Modernist

Which side of the fence are you on when it comes to your Christmas decor? Are you a true traditionalist when it comes to decorating for the holidays or do you like to mix things up a bit? Do you decorate your home using the traditional red and green or does your holiday decor coordinate with your existing everyday home furnishings? Are you convinced that red and green are the only way to go for Christmas decorating? Whether you’re a traditionalist or modernist you are sure to enjoy reading a post written a while back by Maria Killam over at Colour Me Happy, “Why are Red & Green the Colours of Christmas?”!! I tend to lean toward coordinating my Christmas and holiday decorations to my homes interior color scheme. But either way makes me happy!!
