Interior Design: One Step Closer to Getting Published

WOW! What a week this has been. I didn’t know when I set my goals for this year how I would get there or what path I would take, I have a long way to go and so much work ahead but this week has definitely been a step in the right direction AND I have so many people to THANK!! My Top 10 Styling Tips for Styling Interiors for a Photo Shoot

Let me preface this by saying I am not an Interiors Stylist, I am an Interior Designer who designs real spaces for real clients. I love styling and accessorizing and I find that whole profession quite fascinating. I think styling interiors could be my dream job if I didn’t already have one!

Designing spaces of course includes accessorizing but styling for photography is a whole other story. With every photo shoot I complete, I gain more knowledge, tips, and confidence. And as my goals for 2013 state, I’ll be doing a lot more styling and photo shoots this year…..so stay tuned!

The Many Hats of an Interior Designer

I often reflect and think about how lucky I am to get to do what I love everyday. Even after a day like this past Friday. It was a hectic day….I really feel like I’ve just recovered from all of the chaos and running around (no need to go to the gym). You see I’ve been working with a lovely couple for quite some time on their Kitchen renovation which included a new layout and furniture for their adjacent Breakfast Room and Keeping Room.
