I had the amazing privilege of attending Tobi Fairley’s NEWEST camp, The Journey to Getting Published. It was three days jam packed full of content and events. Tobi herself not only shared her journey, tips and best practices but we also had the once in a career chance to hear valuable confidential information from Krissa Rossbund, Ronda Rice Carman, Nancy Noland and Sandy Gilbert-Freidus.
Happy Holiday Season everyone! I absolutely love this time of year….all of the decorating, the smells, and spending more time with family and friends! I’m hoping to take a bit more time off this year to spend with my kids and family….that’s the plan and I cannot wait!
I am very excited to be a guest over at the Layla Grayce blog today, The Back Room!! I’m sharing some insider tips and secrets to wowing your clients with presentations. Be sure to head over and check it out here!
I am so excited to announce that I’ve been asked to participate in the upcoming Brizo Fashion Week event in New York City!! I am one of 19 guests chosen to take part in this well known and prestigious experience.
It’s that time again! I’ve been asked to contribute to another fun monthly blog series put together by my friends over at Olioboard. For those that are not familiar, Olioboard is a fun tool for designing and creating spaces virtually on your computer. Interior Designers, decorators and home owners alike can use their mood board building software to look at their decorating ideas on paper before spending a dime…..and the best part is, it’s easy! You can see my Olioboard profile page here to see exactly how I use it for client projects. The last Monday Oliohop that I participated in was on Nursery Design and it too was a lot of fun and very inspiring.
This week has been a complete blur!! Between the wonderful client projects that I’ve been working on, a Guest Blog Post and a HUGE announcement it has been beyond exciting here at Jennifer Reynolds Interiors!
With all of the amazing baby and children’s boutiques and online stores it’s never been easier to pull together an amazing Nursery or Kids Room for your little ones. You can literally get everything you need all in one place, a one-stop-shop if you will. But what if you didn’t want to create a room that looked like everyone else’s? What if you wanted to “DESIGN” something truly magical and unique?
I’m excited to share some news with you…in case you missed it, Jennifer Brouwer was kind enough to feature me last week on her blog. I openly discussed ‘5 Things I Wish Clients Knew’. I was very candid, open and honest….if you want to see what I had to say on the subject you can check it out here. Jennifer Brouwer is a designer that I met last year at High Point Market. She is one of the kindest people I know and I want to send her a big “thank you” for allowing me to contribute to her fabulous blog!
Being a Blog newbie, this is the first time I had ever heard of BlogTour…thank you Jennifer Brouwer!! What you say, you’ve never heard of it either!! Basically it’s a dream come true, a trip and experience of a lifetime! And I’m here to spread the word about BlogTour 2012 so let me fill you in and tell you a bit about it…don’t forget you too can apply and be a part of BlogTour 2012. (And if I’m lucky, I’ll be selected as one of the Design Bloggers to experience this once in a lifetime event!)
To say that I’m a blogger may be quite an exaggeration. You see, I’m an Atlanta Interior Designer first and because I love to write (not saying I’m great at it), share my experiences, teach and learn I sort of fell into this wonderful blogging world accidentally. I officially began this Blog back in 2009 and it has changed and evolved more times than I care to mention. It has taken me quite some time to truly get the hang of this and figure out exactly what I’m trying to say. I’ve changed the name a couple of times and who knows this may not be the last:)…I’ll just have to play that by ear. I’m happiest when I’m just being me and writing about what makes me happy and hey if other people enjoy reading it, than that is just a huge bonus…..and I’m grateful!! I truly appreciate my followers and readers and cherish every note and comment….it means the world to me!
