How to Style a Bar Cart: Minus the Bar

One of my current projects that I’ve been working on for quite some time is getting close to completion. It’s a Guest Cottage that consists of a single room that shares the Living, Dining, and Kitchen space. The Bathroom and closet are the only rooms closed off from the rest of the space.

The Many Hats of an Interior Designer

I often reflect and think about how lucky I am to get to do what I love everyday. Even after a day like this past Friday. It was a hectic day….I really feel like I’ve just recovered from all of the chaos and running around (no need to go to the gym). You see I’ve been working with a lovely couple for quite some time on their Kitchen renovation which included a new layout and furniture for their adjacent Breakfast Room and Keeping Room.

How Can You Tango with Tangerine!

I’m sure by now you’ve probably heard somewhere that Pantone’s 2012 Color of Year is Tangerine Tango and if you’re not too tired of hearing about it by now, I’d love to put in my two cents! I’m thrilled with the color, it makes me happy! I’ve been using the color quite a bit over the last few months in some current projects…who knew! Kitchen Renovation: Finish Selection Order

While reading my latest edition of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine (January 2012), I came across an article that grabbed my attention and sparked some thought. Kitchen Renovation: Where to Start When Selecting Finishes?

We are getting very close to wrapping up one of our latest projects….a Kitchen renovation. We were hired to completely redesign and renovate the Kitchen as well as the adjacent Dining Room and Keeping Room. I thought I would share the progress and how we got started with the finish selections. A Kitchen renovation can be very intimidating project to tackle but it doesn’t have to be if you know exactly where to start and how to select the proper finishes. An Interior Designer that has been through the steps a thousand times can be your best investment when renovating a Kitchen.
