I love this question! It really gets me reminiscing and thinking back to my childhood. Some of my fondest memories were spent with my grandfather schlepping around new construction sites. You might be thinking, not the best place to bring a 9 year old, but I would beg him to bring me along. He was a successful door salesman for many, many years and a typical day for him would be meeting builders at construction sites, measuring for new doors, reviewing floor plans, and placing orders. I would spend hours at his kitchen table thumbing through Home Floor Plans and drawing and recreating them. After High School that the Interior Decorating bug bit me. I knew the only way to be a truly successful designer would be to acquire my Bachelors Degree work my way through some amazing Design Firms and really hone my skill. In the many years of working in design, I have helped many different clients in achieving their individual design goals. I always incorporate my education and my experiences, with a small infusion of my own design philosophies. I hold true to the fact that the designer needs to listen, interpret and ultimately create a space that is a beautiful reflection of each client’s uniqueness.

My clients often point to two things that make their experience with me unique. First, unlike many designers in the Atlanta area, as a JRi client, you never pay full price or retail pricing on anything we purchase on your behalf. We buy manufacturer direct and can pass along thousands of dollars in savings to our clients. Second, we demystify the design experience. For many people, it can be a scary process with many unknowns. Our clients are never in the dark. There’s no mystery or secrecy. As an open sharing person at heart, I know that for many of my clients, the process is just as important as the final outcome of the design. That’s why I have put systems and processes in place to make sure you know where you stand – at all times.
