Christmas is Over….Now What?

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and were able to spend precious time with your family and friends. Maybe you even got to relax a little, take some time off or take a vacation. These last couple of weeks for me have been busy but oh so sweet.

Right before Christmas I was running like crazy to finish up Christmas shopping, decorating and baking (well fake baking, the only dessert I made was this NO BAKE Peanut Butter Bark). It was a huge hit!

I also squeezed in a couple of client project installations and two photo-shoots. I’ll be sharing more about those soon. It seemed like the time just flew by this year, where did the time go and now that Christmas has come and gone, now what?

How do you spend the days between Christmas and New Years Day? I have to admit there was a bit of Christmas depression after the holiday. There is so much anticipation and excitement leading up to the big day (especially if you have kids like us) and then it seems to come and go in a flash.

Christmas is over!

The day after Christmas was probably the biggest transition day. I spent the day relaxing and hanging out with my family….it was really nice! The next couple of days it was back to work as I have some tight project deadlines looming and no time to waste hibernating the days away:)

By Friday, I was ready to take down the tree and box up all of the décor. It was time to clean, freshen, purge and prepare for the New Year. I just love this time of year. The excitement of a new start, setting goals, and making plans for what’s to come.

Tomorrow I plan to spend some time reflecting and looking back at 2012. What was accomplished and what I didn’t quite get too. It’s always interesting and fun but my favorite part is when I get my dreams and goals down on paper and for 2013 I’m dreaming BIG!!

2013

I can’t wait to share this next year with you. My triumphs, my struggles and more of what I actually do as an Interior Designer on a day to day basis….hence the Blog name “A Day in the Life…..of Interior Design”.

Until next time, DREAM BIG for 2013….you deserve it!
