I dropped by one of my job sites to check on progress today. We finalized some finish selections and I thought I would share a little of the progress with you. My clients had a wish list and must-have list a mile long and as you can see, the space is tight. We spent several weeks upfront on the floor plan and layout in order to get it just right.

Here is their wish list copied word for word:

Game Room Area: Sink, Dishwasher, Microwave, Small convection oven, Bar, Beverage Cooler/Fridge, Wine Cooler, Flat screen TV, Music, Pool Table, Dart board, Arcade Game, Ledge around wall to set drinks/food on, Storage if possible,

Home Theater Area: A/V equipment, Lighting, Nice entrance, Sconces, Seating(hopefully 7 Theater seats), Counter behind last row of HT seats, Barstools for Counter Small area in back of Theater room, Cabinets for storage, Snack Bar

As you can see from the floor plan above, we did really well in terms of achieving all of my clients needs and wants. We even found a little niche for the Mrs. must-have arcade game. We even created a nice entrance with the limited space we had to work with by incorporating a well designed feature wall (more to come on that later) and the high-end A/V rack equipment greets you when you round the corner (guys love that).

How do you think we did on utilizing space while adding the wow factor that my clients envisioned. I plan on keeping you posted through the process so that you can see the entire transformation from start to finish.
